Probate Valuations by Omell Associates, valuers of fine art, antiques, jewellery, collectables and general household items for all purposes
Probate valuations are required when someone has died. Omell Associates are able to provide professional probate valuation reports.

These are used by Solicitors and Executors to calculate the value the estate for both non-taxable and taxable estates. The value for probate is based on ‘open market value’ the value for which they could be sold if a bargain were made between a willing buyer and a willing seller. This is generally considerably less than a retail insurance figure and therefore it is important this be carried out by a Professional Valuer to ensure the estate does not over pay Inheritance Tax (IHT).

Working closely with Solicitors and other professionals, we aim to visit the property as quickly as possible. Impartial advice and arrangements for the sale of items via a local saleroom, specialist auctions in London or worldwide, is given free of charge. We can also arrange for complete house clearance with honest and reliable firms.
